THE FAIRBURN TURNAROUND: 2022–2025
When I stepped into leadership, the City faced major operational breakdowns—facility deficiencies, outdated vehicles, staffing vacancies near 50% in key areas, low employee morale, and no COVID reopening plan.
What we did:
Rebuilt city operations and facility readiness
Modernized public safety and emergency response systems
Stabilized staffing and improved recruitment processes
Strengthened fiscal responsibility and planning
Results delivered:
Named a Top Ten Safest City in Georgia
Improved Police retention from 46% turnover (2022) to 14% (2023)
Supported business growth with 40 new businesses (2022) and 49 new businesses (2023)
Hosted major city events like the Fairburn Fall Festival with 25,000+ attendees
Launched infrastructure, resurfacing, and sidewalk projects while completing work under budget
